An Invitation

On behalf of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), it is our pleasure to invite you to the World Congress of Nephrology 2007 – an international scientific and clinical congress that will attract nephrologists and researchers as well as other healthcare professionals from related medical disciplines across the globe.

In partnership with the Sociedade Brasileira de Nefrologia (SBN) and the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Nefrología e Hipertensión (SLANH), and thanks to the work of our highly dedicated and experienced Scientific Program and Local Organizing Committees, we look forward to four and a half days of outstanding presentations and debate bringing Renal Insights and Opportunities to WCN’s 2007 host destination – Rio de Janeiro.

Incorporating a wide range of pre-meeting sessions, invited contributions, free communications, plenary and state-of-the-art special lectures, post-congress satellite symposia, CNEs, poster sessions, and much more, WCN 2007 has something for everyone.

The goal of the WCN 2007 Scientific Program Committee is to present cutting edge information on the latest advances in scientific and clinical research in a setting that focuses on international nephrology. The global epidemic of chronic kidney and associated cardiovascular diseases challenges renal clinicians and scientists worldwide.

Our Keynote Speakers will integrate overviews of these clinical issues with reviews of the science that will guide us in meeting these challenges such as systems biology, prevention and new approaches to transplantation. Collectively the 8 core themes of WCN 2007 will include over 250 invited speakers from around the globe reviewing the hottest topics in clinical nephrology and renal science as well as presentations of original research in both oral and poster formats. Participants will consequently have the opportunity to select among a wide and exciting range of program sessions and symposia.

Please join us for a unique World Congress and share critical medical information and ideas in a spectacular setting – the World Congress of Nephrology, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 21-25, 2007.

We look forward to welcoming and meeting you all.
